It is toooo hot to cook on the oz pig today so I cheated and cooked this inside BUT have cooked it in a cake tin in the camp oven before just watch it close.
Ran out of bread this morning and too lazy to go to town for more so decided on this for lunch.
Method:
it is very light so don't overload the toppings or it will break up.
would be nice to eat cold or hot.

Ran out of bread this morning and too lazy to go to town for more so decided on this for lunch.
- Bacon, cheese & sundried tomato sandwich slice.
- 2 cups S.R. flour
- pinch salt
- 60g butter
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (I usually use yoghurt but I had run out of that as well, lol. But the mayo is great so I will use it again)
- 1/2 cup milk (mix the mayo & milk together)
- Tips: buy best vacuum sealer for preserve food
Method:
- Rub butter into flour n salt
- mix in mayo & milk
- mix till comes together to form a dough
- turn out onto a lightly floured surface
- lightly knead into a ball
- cut dough in half
- Roll one half out to 1cm thick rectangle
- place in lined slice tin
- spread a little bbq sauce over base (you don't have to do this, but I prefer it)
- Top with 1 cup diced bacon (you could use Ham)
- 3/4 cup grated tasty cheese
- spread diced sundried tomatoes over the top (or not, your choice)
- salt & pepper to taste
- Roll other half out the same and place on top (I rolled it out onto baking paper & then flipped it
- over onto the top of the topping as it was easier)
- press lightly to seal top
- Brush with a little egg wash and sprinkle the top with Italian herbs (or herbs of your choice)
- Bake at about 180 for about 30min till light golden.
it is very light so don't overload the toppings or it will break up.
would be nice to eat cold or hot.
